The Aarohan Social Innovation Awards is a flagship national initiative by the Infosys Foundation created to recognize, celebrate, and scale breakthrough innovations that solve critical social challenges across India.

With a cumulative prize purse of ₹2 Crore, the awards grant up to ₹50 Lakhs per winner to individual innovators, research teams, tech startups, social enterprises, and registered NGOs.

The programme focuses on three vital pillars: Healthcare, Education, and Environmental Sustainability, prioritizing solutions that demonstrate measurable real-world impact and sustainable long-term scalability.

Beyond direct financial awards, winning innovators receive structured incubation support at premier institutions (such as IIT Hyderabad), strategic mentorship, and nationwide visibility.

Who Can Apply? (Eligibility Criteria)

Indian citizens and permanent residents aged 18 years or above with social innovation projects.

Eligibility Rule 2

Eligible entities include Individual Innovators, Research Teams, For-Profit Startups, Social Enterprises, and Registered NGOs.

Eligibility Rule 3

Innovations must fall under one of the core categories: Education, Healthcare, or Environmental Sustainability.

Eligibility Rule 4

Mandatory Prototype Requirement: The solution must have a fully working prototype, pilot, or early field deployment. Pure conceptual ideas, mockups, or unverified theories are not eligible.

Solutions must directly benefit underserved, rural, or vulnerable communities across India.

Innovators must hold clear intellectual property rights without conflicting third-party infringement.
