About Karnataka ELEVATE Unnati

ELEVATE Unnati is a revolutionary affirmative action seed funding program conceived by the Department of Social Welfare in collaboration with the Department of Electronics, IT, BT and S&T, Government of Karnataka.

Aimed at driving inclusive prosperity and bridging social equity divides in deep tech, the scheme awards up to ₹50 Lakhs in non-dilutive grant-in-aid to tech startups founded and led by Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) entrepreneurs.

The grant funds end-to-end product development, laboratory testing, software engineering, marketing expansion, and customer acquisition, de-risking ventures that traditionally lack generational wealth and access to venture capital.

In addition to funding, winners receive extensive 1-on-1 business mentorship, complimentary incubation at K-tech hubs across Karnataka, patent filing subsidies, and priority government procurement opportunities.

Who Can Apply? (Eligibility Criteria)

Eligibility Rule 1

DPIIT-recognized Startups registered in Karnataka as a Private Limited Company or LLP under 10 years from incorporation.

Eligibility Rule 2

At least 51% of the equity shareholding must be owned by founders belonging to SC or ST communities.

Eligibility Rule 3

The SC/ST founders must hold executive management positions and active operational leadership roles.

Eligibility Rule 4

Valid SC/ST Caste Certificate issued by the competent Karnataka revenue authority must be submitted.

Eligibility Rule 5

Must be building an innovative technological product, hardware system, or scalable digital service.

Eligibility Rule 6

Must have reached at least the proof of concept or prototype stage with clear market potential.
