About Women Entrepreneurship Platform (WEP)

The Women Entrepreneurship Platform (WEP) is a flagship initiative launched by NITI Aayog to empower women entrepreneurs across India by providing them with access to knowledge, funding opportunities, mentorship, market linkages, incubation support, and business networking.

WEP is not a direct loan or grant scheme. Instead, it serves as a unified digital platform that connects aspiring and existing women entrepreneurs with government schemes, financial institutions, incubators, investors, industry experts, training organizations, and business support services.

The platform aims to create an inclusive entrepreneurial ecosystem where women can start, manage, and scale successful businesses with the right guidance and resources. Whether someone is at the idea stage, launching a startup, or expanding an established business, WEP offers support throughout the entrepreneurial journey.

Women entrepreneurs from sectors such as Technology, Manufacturing, Retail, Fashion, Healthcare, Agriculture, Food Processing, Education, Handicrafts, Services, E-commerce, Beauty & Wellness, and Social Enterprises can benefit from the platform.

Eligibility Rule 1

Women Entrepreneurs — the platform is open to women who want to start a new business as well as women who already own or manage an existing enterprise.

Eligibility Rule 2

Aspiring Startup Founders — women with innovative business ideas, startup concepts, or entrepreneurial ambitions can register to access mentorship, learning resources, and startup support.

Eligibility Rule 3

Existing MSMEs & Business Owners — women running Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), sole proprietorships, partnerships, private limited companies, LLPs, or home-based businesses can also benefit.

Students & Professionals — female students, researchers, professionals, self-employed individuals, and freelancers planning to become entrepreneurs are encouraged to participate.
